Safety month at Pegasus will highlight several different activities. During lessons, safety drills will be conducted so that volunteers, riders, horses and instructors are able to react appropriately in the event that an incident occurs. In order for riders and parents to understand what is going on, we will review the procedures for the safety drills before lessons start. It is important to stay with your riders at the beginning of the lessons so you can be informed of the procedures for that class. In the middle of the month, staff members will be practicing safety drills with the goal of getting all of the horses out of the barn quickly in the event of fires or other emergencies.
